Exploded View presents Tucson’s desert psych mavens Liila (Conner Gallaher & Louise Le Hir) playing a live soundtrack to Tod Browning’s The Unknown (he also directed FREAKS), one of the strangest and most beautiful films of the silent eara. The Unknown features the great Lon Chaney as an armless knife thrower in an unrequited love triangle with circus girl, played by an 18 year old Joan Crawford, and a charismatic strongman.
